Wonder Wendy

wonder wendyI don’t want to spoil the surprise in this odd little tale, so I’ll be brief. Suffice to say I have NO idea where this notion came from, except to say that sometimes my own imagination makes me wonder what it was about my somewhat lonely childhood that could possibly give rise to such an unusual (but inventive) mental landscape. I did read a lot of comic books, and a lot of science fiction and fantasy, and I watched stuff like Monty Python and The Goodies (look it up), so maybe that explains everything. Enjoy!

  2. Very well written and entertaining. I did notice the line about “X chromosome consigned to the dustbin”. Perhaps it would be the Y Chromosome which gets dumped?

    • OMG, you’re right! I made a boo-boo. I do try to make my work as typo- and error-free as possible, but now and then one slips through. Thank you for pointing that out. I shall set about fixing it asap.

    • Thank you, Jeanette. That’s kind of you to say. I’m mostly the same way; much more often I write straight (so to speak) cross-dressing (which tends to come across as almost magical in its effectiveness 🙂 ) and sci-fi themed transformations (which are more closely aligned with my usual reading), but now and then a magical idea crosses my mind which is too cute to ignore. This one was definitely fun!
