Break My Spirit

Break My SpiritHere’s the deal. You’re just an ordinary guy in an ordinary town; maybe you’re a senior in high school, or maybe you’re attending the local junior college with an eye on the big leagues. You’re minding your own business when a few of the popular girls take you aside and make you an offer you can’t refuse. (We’ve all been there, right?) Here it is: “We’ll let you hang out with us, at the parade and afterward, and all you gotta do is let us pick out what you’ll wear. You wanna hang with the cool kids, you gotta dress like the cool kids, right?” It must have seemed like such a reasonable idea; a total no-brainer. Well, as Heinlein said in his classic novel The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, “TANSTaaFL” or: There ain’t no such thing as a free lunch.

Salon captions do seem to be a favorite of mine. Wow, stop the presses, right? The most recent caption was “Total Commitment“, and of course some key scenes in Chelsea Girl took place in a beauty salon. Enjoy the latest!

Let it HappenBonus motivational poster, cross-dressing style! Maybe this is just the kind of encouragement you need, after warming up with the above caption and thinking to yourself, “Yeah, the time is right. Let’s launch this bottle rocket!” If so, don’t let me stop you. To the BatCrossdressing Cave—and glory!
