An intriguing idea, to be sure, but does it really work? Perhaps for some people, those few who are truly and deeply suggestible, it just might. Yet as our hero in this caption can attest, there’s no guarantee it’ll turn out the way you think…

Background Note: Hasslers was a small company that offered to assist its clients in completing tasks and achieving goals through the power of hassling—such as random phone calls and other reminders (but probably not subliminal hypnosis). Their inspired tagline: It was for your own good. Alas, they are no longer in business.
